The Christmas Season’s annual event held in historic downtown Wichita Falls. A lighted parade, music, children’s activities, food booths and (of course!) Santa Claus make this a night for the entire family. Parade starts at 7 PM. Grab your family and spread a little holiday cheer downtown!

River Bend Nature Center
In its 13th year, this annual lighted display at River Bend Nature Center is a DO NOT MISS. With the flip of a switch, more than 60,000 lights on more than 150 silhouettes will glitter along the nature trail, bringing the sights and sounds of the season to adults and children. After walking the trail, come in from the cold to the Candy Cane Café and enjoy hot chocolate and apple cider. Feast on hot cookies and popcorn, and shop for holiday gifts and stocking stuffers.

This Christmas, begin the season at the Kemp Center for the Arts with a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, art projects, refreshments and gather with others to experience The Polar Express movie free to all.

Front lawn of Midwestern State University
The MSU-Burns Fantasy of Lights is one of the largest holiday displays of its kind and a much beloved tradition in Wichita Falls. 34 lighted animated displays adorn the front lawn of Midwestern State University along with over 20,000 christmas lights outlining the campus buildings. Over 20,000 people visit the Fantasy of Lights display annually and young and old alike marvel in the magic of this time-honored display. Hours: Monday-Thursday dusk until 10:00pm and Friday-Sunday dusk until 11:00pm.

Enjoy this radio drama adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic story of Christmas, memory and redemption. Back during the golden age of radio, families would gather round the hearth and sit listening to their favorite shows and actors portraying the time’s latest cinemagraphic hits, using a few sound effect tools and relying just on their voices.

Memorial Auditorium-Production of the Wichita Falls Ballet Theatre
Wichita Falls Ballet Theatre’s 50th Anniversary gala performance of The Nutcracker returns to Memorial Auditorium for two classic performances.
Enjoy additional special events to celebrate 50 years in Wichita Falls! Select from a snack and craft tea for youth prior to the afternoon performance or a champagne and sugar plum reception prior to the evening performance.

The historic Kell House invites you to its 32nd annual Santa House! Wichita Falls Public Library
Hop aboard a vintage trolley and enjoy a visit with Santa! The trip will start off with hot chocolate and cookies with Santa upstairs above the Public Library (The Recreation Center) in Room 202 and will end back at the same location after a ride through the Fantasy of Lights Display and a tour of the beautiful homes in the Country Club neighborhood. Tours will leave every hour beginning at 6:00pm with the last group leaving at 9:00pm.

Enjoy the magic of an early 20th-century Christmas at the historic Kell House Museum as all the lights are turned down throughout the house. A guide will use a single candle to lead visitors throughout the museum. The magic of the Kell House at Christmas truely shines through during this special one-night only tour.
