Founded by Ken Nelson and (now retired MSU band director) Alan Black in 1998, the Ken Nelson Big Band has been playing jazz and big band swing and dance music for the past two decades in and around Texoma. Comprised of local musicians, area music educators, and seasoned veterans, the group performs the music of the swing era including Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Maynard Ferguson and Buddy Rich. They will also perform more modern jazz and even some pop music so there will be something for everyone. You are encouraged to come hang out and even dance with us if the spirit moves you!

ALL AGES – FREE ADMISSION – PUBLIC WELCOME
Performances will occur every other Tuesday during September & October from 7:00 – 8:30pm. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket, sit back and enjoy an evening of great music and socializing.
