6th Street Winery is in the restored ‘Jones Building’ located in the Depot Square historic district of downtown Wichita Falls, Texas. When built in 1914, the Jones Building originally faced Ohio Ave and was the home of a blacksmith and later the Valentine Auto Upholstery business. Most of the original structure has been preserved – exposing large wooden trusses in the tasting room area. 6th Street Winery uses the 600 6th Street address as our tasting room entrance.
As an urban winery, we have no plans to own a vineyard. We partner with vineyards in Texas and other parts of the country to secure premium quality grapes and change them into this wonderful thing called wine! Our tasting room features 20+ wines with a full complement of cheese boards and other light cuisines. We feel that wine is best shared with family and friends. We invite you to join us and make some new friends!
Hook & Ladder Coffee and Wine Co. can be found in the heart of the Historic Depot Square at 616 7th Street. It is located in an original 1884 building that is a National Landmark. It is co-owned by Jon and Pam Reese and Bill and Lauri Weske. The idea of roasting delicious, easy drinking coffee, and serving exquisite wine straight from a local urban winery was born out of a love for business, community, family, faith, and FUN. Why the name Hook & Ladder you might ask? Jon is recently retired as Fire Chief of the Wichita Falls Fire Department with 35 years of service, and Bill is the retired Assistant Fire Chief and served the community for 33 years. Hook & Ladder was voted Texoma’s Best Winery for 2018, and boasts a warm, relaxing, fun place to be!
In addition to direct farm-sourced, single origin coffees, they have amazing artisan flatbreads and a charcuterie board that pair perfectly with their incredible, award-winning selection of wines.
